The Old Farmer's Almanac Weather Journal ReviewI saw one of these recently at a country store. I own a diary already that I keep weather statistics and info in already and was curious of just how they differed. The Farmers Almanac, (FB) diary is a nicely laid out, easy to read journal that provides a lot of basic info about weather, as well as tips and common sense as to keeping track of it. FA has always been famous for its odd stories about legend and folklore and this weather diary has some of the same tried and true articles in it. They are fun to read and entertaining. The bulk of this diary however is made up of the journal itself. An entire year where one can enter in the temps, wind speed, sky conditions, etc. every day if you wish. There is also a space provided for you to jot down some extra info that could come to be very entertaining and handy looking back at it years later. The only thing that I found that I didn't like about the FA diary is the fact that it only covers a year at a time. My other journal is a full 5 year one. If the cost was equivalent to what they offer in years covered it would be a harder decision as to which one to buy, but this FA version cost just a couple of dollars less than my other one. (A link to the Weather Wizard diary is included at the end of this review). Personally I like the idea of having just one book cover several years myself, but you may feel differently. The spaces for entries is a little bigger in FA diary due to the single year only format, and that may be a factor for those that don't like writing so small. Overall however if you are in the market or are considering such a weather diary as a gift for an old time weather enthusiast, I suggest you at least take a look at the Weather Wizard journal at the link. Unlike this FA diary its sold right here on Amazon and I own it. This is not a bad diary, but its not up to par with the Weather Wizard in my opinion...
