Something in the Blood (Volume 1) ReviewJust finished reading "Something in the Blood" and LOVED it. Although I am partial to romance novels, this is the first vampire love story I've ever read and now I'm eager to read the sequel. The heroine, named Cheryl, is a very likeable 17 year old who is forced to mature quickly when she falls in love with Duncan, a vampire who is being hunted down by a viscous arch enemy. Cheryl is strong and brave while at the same time tender-hearted and full of conflicting emotions about Duncan, her new love, when she learns he is a vampire. The book is filled with action as Cheryl soon gets into situations that threaten her new found happiness, love and very life. I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes romance novels and/or vampire novels. The author has taken teenaged angst and ramped it up to a level that can hold the attention of both teenage and adult readers.
