PRAXIS I Math: My Private Tutor ReviewI bought this book because I failed the Praxis I math test twice. I couldn't afford a tutor, and couldn't find a decent Praxis I math book. Finally I came across this book on Amazon.com and bought it on the spot. The book is very comprehensive and covers all the material covered on the test. The book is broken down into 23 chapters, so you can concentrate on one important topic at a time. Thanks to this book, I finally passed the Praxis test, and I don't know what I'd do without the book. Thank God for this book, such good timing. Strongly recommend.PRAXIS I Math: My Private Tutor OverviewPraxis I Math: My Private Tutor is a workbook designed to help students prepare for the math section of the Praxis I Exam. This exam requires a passing score for prospective teachers to receive a public school teaching certification. No other preparation material covers the math portion of the Praxis I exam as comprehensively as this book does, with 23 chapters of lessons, in addition to assessments and a final test. This study guide begins with pre-algebra material and leads up to algebra and geometry, including word problems and graphs. Chapters are detailed enough for the novice student to comprehend, and they provide ample opportunity for the student to practice the type of problems that often stump them. Praxis I Math: My Private Tutor can be used for the motivated student to practice independently, or together with a tutor. This book will provide a tutor with the opportunity to systematically teach students each of the topics covered on the Praxis I Exam, math section.
