Texas Weather: Second Edition, Revised ReviewBig fan of Texas weather, lived in Austin, Dallas, and Houston for 38 years. This book is excellent but out of print still good source of weather phenomenon in the Lone Star State. Wish someone would update the opus if the author is no longer able to do so. Great explanations as only an A & M prof. can provide! If you can find it get it.Texas Weather: Second Edition, Revised OverviewEvery Texan has a favorite weather story to tell, and for ten years Texas Weather has offered the most complete, reader-friendly explanations of the Lone Star State's weather phenomena. This edition includes new information on electronic weather prediction, expanded guidelines for severe weather preparedness, and updated statistics on all record weather events.

Stormy Weather: A Novel (P.S.) ReviewI loved Enemy Women, her civil war novel,so was thrilled to see she had written another book. I just finished reading and want to tell everyone who will listen to me to read Stormy Weather. The setting is harsh (1930s Texas during the drought and the Great Depression) but the writing is so lyrical and beautiful. The characters are fully developed and likeable. And the love story and tension she creates between the two is delicious agony for the reader. This was a reading experience where I had to stop often just to soak up the images she created. I rarely write book reviews, but was moved to do so for this wonderful book!Stormy Weather: A Novel (P.S.) Overview
